Knee Pain, Back Pain, Hip Pain…Let it Heal

There are many times when your knees can be very painful from a variety of conditions but there is a common thread on what people normally do:  just keeping pushing through it hoping the pain will go away.  Doctors will say “take a few weeks off.”  The physical therapist may say, “Slowly work back into a routine.”  And other people may say, “Hey, take it easy.  I can take care of that for you.”   Lots of good advice….but you want none of it because YOU GOT TOO MUCH TO DO!

Let me help you out there, pain is your body’s way of saying, “Please slow down, I am hurtin’ bad.”  DON’T IGNORE THIS!!!  The expression no pain no gain was birthed around the football fields and not for daily life.  If you have chronic pain pushing through that pain on a daily basis will just continue to hurt you more and more.  People are not like cars, you know, simply go to the shop and take out the bad and put in a new part (yes, I know there are joint replacements that facilitate this process but they are really really really painful…..course, so is the auto bill.”  The nice part about the human body is that with time and the right conditions the broken and damaged stuff can get fixed.

Here is the message:  If a medical professional, a friend, or simply reason dictates slow down and let an ache or pain heal listen up.  You only have one body…don’t wear it out to the point it can’t be fixed anymore.
