Cute Shoes = Rearranging the bones
Did you know….
Throwing over the course of many years, such as baseball, can cause the humerus bone rotate backwards?
Having a slouched posture can make the bones in the middle of your back change, creating a permanent curvature that is not reversible?
Tendons pulling on bones, such as the knee, can cause excessive bone to build if constantly overstressed and irritated?
All of these conditions were caused by placing the body in constant, improper position that caused the body to accommodate to the external stresses. So knowing this information, what do you think wearing footwear that is 3 sizes too small, tapers to a tiny point, and you have to put them on with a shoe horn, lubricant, and a little praying? That is correct, they really mess your feet up!
Consistently wearing shoes that are too small result in the bones of your feet pushing towards the middle, often referred to as a bunion. This criss-crossing of the toes seriously affects balance, can cause considerable pain, giant calluses, and just does not look right. Surgical options are available to correct this condition but are very painful, leave long scars, and results in permanent metal hardware at times.
MESSAGE: I am not saying don’t wear that cute pair of sling back heels to a formal event but if you wear them everyday/all the time, think about the bunion website. Then a pair of new balances or formal flats doesn’t sound too shabby.
